My boyfriend loved Afuri in Japan and he was just as happy with the taste and quality of this US location, particularly the Yuzu Ratan. The sourness of the chicken broth and saltiness was perfect! We came for a Dine LA special which was a clam broth ramen (it's not available anymore and isnt pictured,) which was okay, but the Yuzu Ratan has yet to disappoint us. We have also ordered the Kare Tsuyu Tsukemen which isn't pictured, but it was really wonderful, and the noodles were bouncy, and the dipping broth was both sesame-y and yuzu-y! The pork belly and in it was sweet and salty which made the soupless entree amazing. The cheesecake the Dine LA special came with was fine; it with candied nuts but we aren't nuts about it. As for the scallop carpaccio, I would die for it just because I love scallops and yuzu. We ordered it twice so far and have loved every time. They also have a beer that can be topped with a slushy foam! It's really refreshing after a long day! The servers are super attentive and great; even if some dishes take longer, they'll check up on you and they are really a great staff from our experiences. Definitely check this place out and leave wobbling out.

Why have not written a review for this spot, it deserves one! My friends have been wanting to visit this place & since Dine LA was happening we decided to meet up here. Service is absolutely amazing! While we waited for a friend, we went to the bar. Bartender was really nice and got our drinks quickly. I got a yuzu limeade & convinced my friend to get one too. It's a perfect, refreshing non-acoholic drink during this heat! I also ordered their margarita so be warned, it is not spicy but does have a kick. We started with the chicken tostadas which was 5/5. I been here so many times and never ordered it, do not make my mistake and order this! Then I got their ramen, always a hit and ended it with their baque cheesecake. That lemon finish in touch was amazing. If you are in town, this is the spot you have to visit!

Considering I'm a very harsh reviewer of ramen and sometimes have a hard time differentiating it, I really enjoyed Afuri Ramen! Their Yuzu Shio was amazing, with a citrus spin on the broth; I want to return for more. All the ingredients on top were great, including the thin noodles. My only critique was that there wasn't enough chicken! There was only one slice so next time I need to order extra. They have a good-sized drink menu, and there are a lot of Asian drinks to pick from. After looking at the menu, we went with the Tori Kaarage which was crispy to perfection (Definitely a must) The service was great, too; the employee gave all their favorite recommendations and was completely honest about the menu, so the experience felt more genuine. Inside, the place is big, and there is bar seating as well.

3rd time coming here: I Tried the Chasu Men. The broth is absolute bliss. The way the ingredients play off each other is like a symphony. Customer service is fabulous. Super nice, very attentive and don't be afraid to ask for suggestions.
